Fresh Produce For Your Restaurant On Site

    Lead the Local Food Movement

Supply your restaurant, cafeteria or hotel restaurant/bar with fresh, organic produce by installing an on-site production-level urban farm. Cut costs, generate press, and serve incredibly fresh food from your roof, deck, parking lot or alley. The Green City Growers Design and Horticulture teams evaluate each unique location, and develop a plan that maximizes the available growing space on the ground, the roof, and indoors, utilizing a combination of containers and food roof options. From an indoor milk crate farm, to an entire rooftop farm, we provide options to accommodate any space, large or small.

    Benefits of On-Site Urban Farming

    • Generate restaurant press
    • Turn guests into loyal regulars
    • Connect with your ingredients
    • Cut costs and save time
Ledge Kitchen and Drinks -- Dorchester Lower Mills

The 4,000 square foot rooftop farm at Ledge grows Thai basil, edible flowers like nasturtium, Japanese eggplant, kale, baby bok choy, cherry tomatoes, and a variety of herbs, which they pick from regularly. They try to grow as much as they can to "basically bring fresh items from roof to plate," general manager John Comeau, as quoted in Edible Boston Cocktails issue, spring 2014. The rooftop farm also helps out with the efficiency of the building. And it’s a touch that guests take note of. “Sometimes when we run out of mint we have to run up to the roof. The guests on the outdoor patio see us running up to the roof to pick mint for their mojito, can see us harvesting the mint. Guests appreciate that, know they’re getting a fresh ingredient.”
