Considerations to Miximize Restaurant Farm Success

Light. For miximum yield, the site should have 6 hours or more of sun exposure. Many crops can grow in lower light, with a minimum of 4 1/2 hours of sun exposure.

Available Space. We recommend a minimum 100sqft available space to achieve a strong return on investment. The 100sqft does not need to be in one place -- but the combined available space on the rooftop, on the ground, and indoors should total 100sqft.

Water. A nearby water source is required for irrigation on a timer to ensure success of the crops.

Rooftops

Weight Capacity. Vegetable raised beds add an additional 75-100lbs per sqft to the roof. Structural integrity wil have to be evaluated.

Roof Access. Is there a stairwell or service elevator that provides roof access? Farm installation can be time consuming and costly without easy roof access. Additionally, our Horticulture team will need easy acess for weekly maintenance visits.
